Summer Acadamy at IAAS

6/26/2017-8/18/2017

Research tells us that children who continue to learn through the summer months excel during the academic year. The IAAS summer program allows children to enjoy their vacation time while engaging their minds. We emphasize the importance of play by providing as much time outdoors as possible, as summer is the time for children to gain a deep appreciation for the environment. The children play in our enclosed playground, walk in Farrell's Woods next door, garden organically, and learn to care for themselves in the hot weather. Outdoor time is balanced with structure and activities such as swim classes, field trips to nearby nature centers, and daily arts and crafts using both natural and imported materials from around the world to provide a rich and lasting experience.

"Engaging with Japanese Culture"

Our special bilingual sessions are dedicated to 'Japan' and 'America' where the children learn to explore both countries' summer culture and traditional activities.
We welcome children from ages 2.5 to 7 and available for daily registration if preferred. This very unique course includes daily activities like school gardening, reading and basic physical exercises. Swim classes at Pascack Valley Swim Club in Westwood, NJ are available from 2nd through 8th week. For more details, please contact IAAS at 201-767-1144.

For summer program applications and guidelines, please go to IAAS Japanese site.
Individual and small-group instruction in ESL, math, reading, writing and piano is available as requested in conjunction with the summer program.
